The University of Food Technologies (UFT) in Plovdiv is Bulgaria's leading public university specializing in food science, food technology, biotechnology, and related engineering disciplines. Its origins date back to 1948, when the country's first higher education programme in food technology was established. Over the decades, the university has developed into a nationally and internationally recognized institution dedicated to education, research, and innovation in the food industry.
